Countdown

MAKEOVER Anne-Marie

Please meet Anne-Marie - a charming single mother of 4 grown-up children, who dedicated her entire life to the toughest job of all times - housewife/mother. After 22 years of taking care of everyone in her family but herself, her life turned up-side-down and what first came as a big misery ultimately gave her a chance to discover a new life, life outside the walls of her house. And though heading 50 is rarely associated with boost of self-confidence and satisfaction from looking at your reflection in the mirror, as long as your brain stays young and your heart seeks romance re-inventing yourself can match your 30-something feel with your look.

After shopping and re-styling

We all admire Marilyn, and even the scirt-blowing has been a pure accident the femininity and elegance of the outfit was the on purpose. Anne-Marie has definitely a great body for her age so the outfit just had to embrace it.

Check out some tips:
  1. If you are slightly smaller in the chest go for ruffles, neck ties, bright prints and voluminous collars  to add some bulk in the area.
  2. You narrow waist is your weapon, accentuate it with the belt!
  3. Please don't wear sleeveless tops if you are older than 40, and then your arms will speak against your age and not for it!
  4. Knee length is always a win-win: it is elegant, it shows off the thinnest part your leg and on top of that it is not as risky as mini-skirt after 40. You may have beautiful legs, yet nothing makes you look older than a desperate desire to look like a girl.
  5. Nude-colour shoes definitely add extra inches to the length of your legs, whereas platform literally lifts you above the ground.
  6. And the last but not the least - NO LONG HAIR after 38, make a stylish haircut or choose some elegant hairdo if you cant say good-bye to your long hair. By lifting your hair, you will visually lift the corners of your mouth, eyes and cheekbones and no plastic surgery required.

Anne-Marie is wearing Zara blazer, BCBG Max Azria blouse, Karen Millen pumps and clutch, Mango bracelet, Marc Jacobs sunglasses.

Anne-Marie has definitely something aristocratic in her face: fine features, pale and cool complexion, some ash in her hair. This type of women are just born to wear Chanel, or at least carry out the elegance and sophistication of the style. And since this style can easily look over-dressed or even a bit grandma's don't forget to dress it down a bit, for instance, by wearing jeans.

Anne-Marie is wearing Zara jacket and blouse, Levi's jeans, Sergio Rossi pumps, Massimo Dutti belt and Accessorize necklace

This shirt-dress is flattering for all body types, and it has a contrast geometric print, which not only takes away 3-4 kilos from your curves but also has a potential to work as an evening-cocktail dress, accessorised with heels and statement belt.

Anne-Marie is wearing H&M dress and bracelet, Minelli sandals and Zara belt

What keeps us going through gloomy rainy summer days in Belgium? - Anticipation of holiday. Holiday is great, however few of us can avoid the stress of the last night packing and painful feeling of leaving half a wardrobe behind. Take a simple white shirt and white short or pants - a timeless stylish solution for every holiday. Do not forget about accessories, they wont take much room in your luggage, but will give you a limitless choice for dressing up.
